
Libyan Health Minister and Chinese Ambassador discuss enhanced cooperation in health sector development
Libya's Minister of Health, Mohamed Al-Ghouj, met with China's Ambassador to Libya, Ma Xuliang, to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation in the health sector. The discussions focused on improving health services and healthcare system efficiency through initiatives in health governance, digital transformation, telemedicine, and the use of modern technologies like surgical robotics. The meeting also addressed support for training programs, capacity building for medical and technical staff, and the transfer of Chinese expertise. Both parties emphasized expanding their partnership to modernize Libya's health sector and integrate modern technologies. The Chinese Ambassador reiterated his appreciation for Al-Hadba Al-Khadra General Hospital's organization and development, affirming China's readiness to support Libyan health institutions and advance health services.
