The Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Enterprises in Ivory Coast CEC-CI announced its intention on July 31, 2026, to increase its participation in the Ivorian economy by aligning with the new National Development Plan PND 2026-2030. This announcement was made during its annual session in Abidjan. The meeting focused on the contribution of Chinese companies to the country's economic priorities and included representatives from the Ivorian government, the private sector, and economic agencies. Solange Amichia, Director General of the Investment Promotion Center in Ivory Coast CEPICI, stated that this initiative aims to mobilize the international private sector around key growth areas for the next five years. Established in 2017 to represent and coordinate Chinese companies in Ivory Coast, the CEC-CI plans to build on previous investments to explore new partnership opportunities, particularly in innovation and structural transformation. China is a major economic and commercial partner for Ivory Coast, which is the leading economic power in the West African Economic and Monetary Union UEMOA.
