
Delia by SuiviVital wins 9th Orange Social Entrepreneur Prize in Burkina Faso
Delia by SuiviVital, a project led by Bienvenu Emmanuel Birba, secured first place in the national final of the 9th Orange Social Entrepreneur Prize in Africa and the Middle East POESAM. The final was held on August 28, 2026, at the Orange Digital Center in Ouagadougou. Delia by SuiviVital, a digital solution supporting pregnant women throughout their pregnancy, received 3 million CFA francs. The mobile application, also accessible via WhatsApp, incorporates voice technology to provide reliable information, including in local languages. Birba stated that the goal is to guide pregnant women to appropriate health facilities and provide useful information. He plans to collaborate with Orange Burkina Faso for deployment and use part of the reward to fund research for integrating new local languages. Josias Diendéré won second prize with his project LeGrandFrère, receiving 1,500,000 FCFA. Balguissa Sankara took third prize with her project Recycler pour assainir, earning 750,000 FCFA. The women's prize, worth 1,000,000 FCFA, was awarded to Soulama Urielle for her project Guundi, a security application aimed at combating local scams in Burkina Faso and eventually in other West African countries. Urielle plans to reinvest the prize money into Guundi's development and expansion.
