The Ministry of Interior detected anonymous publications and messages circulating on social media in recent days, inciting collective and illegal crossing attempts to Sebta and Mellilia. These practices pose serious safety risks and aim to exploit migration issues for incitement, which is criminalized by law. The Ministry assures that authorities are closely monitoring the situation, with all necessary measures in place to prevent illegal crossings and intercept participants. Legal procedures will be initiated against anyone proven to be involved in unlawful acts, including those disseminating such calls on social media. A group of individuals suspected of incitement has already been apprehended and is undergoing judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office. The Ministry emphasizes that the operational readiness of security services is continuous, particularly near the Sebta and Mellilia crossings, and is constantly adapted based on evolving situations and identified risks. The Ministry also stated that recent events at the crossing points to Sebta and Mellilia are due to misleading information on social media, human trafficking networks, and misint
