Benue State pledges one million votes for President Tinubu in 2027, highlights infrastructure projects

He affirmed that Governor Father Hyacinth Alia's administration would mobilize the State Executive Council and citizens to fulfill this promise. Ode made these remarks during a tour with the Presidential Communications Team, led by Special Adviser Bayo Onanuga, showcasing federal and state infrastructure projects in Makurdi. The Deputy Governor attributed the state's expanding infrastructure program to increased federation account allocations from the Tinubu administration.

He highlighted the newly constructed High-Level Interchange in Makurdi, a central traffic hub connecting four major arterial roads, which has reduced accidents and gridlock. The Director of Civil Engineering at the Benue State Ministry of Works, Housing and Urban Development, Abraham Wombo, noted that Phase One of the interchange cost N6.9 billion. The tour also included the Wurukum Overhead Bridge, a federal project, and the Buruku Bridge, both expected to be completed by December 2027.

Additionally, the team visited the Food Basket Breweries, a state-backed facility producing Ziva beer and malt, which employs over 1,000 direct and indirect staff and plans to expand its product lines.
