
Ivorian government allocates 42 billion FCFA for partial financing of 4,300 social and economic housing units
The Ivorian Council of Ministers ratified a loan agreement totaling 42 billion FCFA on August 5, 2026, to partially fund the construction of 4,300 social and economic housing units across C么te d'Ivoire. This includes phase 4, which will deliver 840 homes in Bouak茅 along with associated social infrastructure. Government spokesperson Amadou Coulibaly detailed that the project encompasses 2,360 units in Abidjan, 420 in Yamoussoukro, and 1,520 in Bouak茅. It also involves developing three sites spanning approximately 30 hectares, enhancing access to basic social services for the population, and promoting innovative housing access methods for low-income households.
