Attijariwafa Bank's JamSalam 2026 pan-African artistic residency concludes in Morocco

Over two weeks, 15 artists from 15 African countries participated in a creative space for exchange and dialogue. The closing ceremony, which included the presentation of artworks, brought together artists and representatives from the 15 African countries where Attijariwafa Bank operates. The participating artists, aged 20 to 35, received certificates of participation.

Mohamed Mourabiti, painter, sculptor, and founder of the Al Maqam residency, praised the initiative, emphasizing the importance of shared artistic creation and intracontinental dialogue for collective progress. Ousseynou Wade, president of the JamSalam Grand Jury and a cultural and artistic expert, provided artistic guidance. The artists also undertook cultural visits to Rabat and Marrakech.

The artworks created during the residency will be showcased at the upcoming International Africa Development Forum, organized by Club Afrique Développement, and subsequently auctioned for charity. The JamSalam 2026 cohort joins the Club Afrique Développement community to foster collaboration and lasting impact for common progress.
