Yamal and Raphinha score braces as Barcelona defeats Rayo Vallecano 5-2
Barcelona secured a 5-2 victory over Rayo Vallecano, maintaining a perfect start to their campaign with a third win from three matches. Teenage star Lamine Yamal and Raphinha each scored twice for Barcelona. Sergio Camello netted both goals for Rayo Vallecano. Yamal, at 19, reached 50 goals for the club, a milestone achieved two years younger than Lionel Messi. Barcelona initially fell behind after Alvaro Garcia set up Camello for the opening goal. However, Barcelona quickly responded with goals from Raphinha and Yamal. Raphinha, playing up front, displayed excellent footwork before scoring. Yamal then scored his first of the season after a defensive error by Rayo. In the second half, Florian Lejeune scored an own goal, extending Barcelona's lead. Camello scored his second goal from a corner, giving Rayo Vallecano a chance. Anthony Gordon assisted Raphinha's second goal, making the Brazilian La Liga's top goalscorer. Yamal further extended Barcelona's advantage in stoppage time with a curling finish after being set up by Karim Adeyemi.
