Ghanaian graduate delivers flawless Chinese speech at Shenyang Normal University graduation
Arhin William, also known as Wang Weimin, a Ghanaian master's graduate from Shenyang Normal University in Liaoning Province, China, impressed the audience with his fluent Chinese speech at the university's 2026 graduation ceremony. William, who majored in Chinese International Education and was a recipient of the Chinese Government Scholarship, served as the International Students' Representative for his cohort. Before his address, he sang a song in Chinese, which was met with cheers and applause. His speech highlighted how football unites people globally. He pursued a Master of Arts degree in Chinese International Education from 2023 to 2026. The ceremony saw 6,699 students graduate, including 5,212 undergraduates, 1,470 master's students, and 17 international students. Arhin William previously held the position of Vice President of the Chinese Students Association of Ghana CHISAG at the University of Ghana, Legon, during the 2019/2020 academic year.
