Alassane Ouattara calls for Ivorian unity, work, and discipline in address to the nation

He urged all Ivorians to embrace unity, commitment, and mobilization to build a prosperous nation. The President encouraged citizens to look to the future with confidence, acknowledging the progress made since independence. He called on every Ivorian to actively participate in the country's development by contributing their energy, talent, ideas, and commitment.

Ouattara specifically highlighted his trust in the potential of the youth, recognizing them as the future and present of the nation. He also paid tribute to the crucial role of women in national development, commending their courage, commitment, and initiative. Entrepreneurs were encouraged to continue investing to foster economic growth and job creation, while farmers were recognized for their contribution to food security.

Finally, President Ouattara called for continued unity around the values of work, discipline, solidarity, and trust to build a great nation for current and future generations. The 66th independence anniversary celebrations are scheduled for Friday, August 7, 2026, in Yopougon.
