AFG Bank and Endeavour Mining partner to secure compensation payments for Ivorian mining project

The agreement, signed on August 26 in Abidjan by AFG Bank and Société des Mines d'Assafo-Dibibango SMAD, Endeavour's local subsidiary, aims to ensure the security and traceability of the entire compensation process for local communities in the Tanda department, Gontougo region. Due to the large number of affected individuals and their geographical dispersion, SMAD has tasked the private bank with opening dedicated accounts to guarantee secure and transparent access to the compensatory funds outlined in the project's resettlement plan. Laetitia Gadegbeku Ouattara, Vice-President of Public Affairs Côte d'Ivoire at Endeavour Mining, stated that the Assafo-Dibibango project will be one of the largest gold projects in Côte d'Ivoire and Endeavour Mining's biggest investment to date.

The project received environmental authorizations from the Ministry of Environment and Ecological Transition in November 2025.
